I can guarantee you that some of your skin cells no longer have a cell brain. It’s a fact of life, and all too true after a long hot summer like we’ve been lucky enough to have.
These brainless cells are now called ‘Free Radicals.’ That’s right they are rogue cells that go around bashing other cells so that they become free and indeed radical. This is not good! If this chain reaction is left to just carry on, the end result is wrinkles, spots, pigmentation, dry skin, sensitivity, capillaries, you name it.
There is a very clever way to neutralise this terrible Free Radical chain reaction. Antioxidants.
Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and nuts contain complex mixes of antioxidants, and that’s the benefit of eating a variety of healthy foods to combat a variety of Free Radicals. With your skin being exposed to the environment daily, it could do with a little extra help.
The main antioxidants that are used for your skin are Beta Carotene (a form of vitamin A,) Vitamin C and Vitamin E. Make sure that at least a good quality Beta Carotene or Vitamin C is contained in your evening skin care routine after a long day out in the elements.
Come in and see me, so that we can decide which antioxidants are best suited to your skin.
Be kind to your skin, it protects you all day.
